The town of Cleethorpes is located on the estuary of the River Humber in North East Lincolnshire. North of Mablethorpe, Chapel St Leonards and Skegness, south of Grimsby and Hull.
Cleethorpes is a popular and traditional seaside resort, with three miles of excellent sandy beaches and a wide promenade. The town has developed rapidly, from a tiny fishing village, in the late 1800's, today attracting up to a million visitors each year. There are numerous attractions and fine views of the ships entering the nearby ports of Grimsby and Immingham.

There is plenty to do for holiday makers and day visitors with regular bus and railway services to the neighbouring towns. Cleethorpes Pier is situated on the seafront. It first opened in 1873 and the promenade which opened in 1885. Very close to the pier and next to the Coast Guard on Central Promenade, there is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution Station.
The resort is a haven of fun and excitement for mums, dads, kids… and for those in their golden years! Pleasure Island Family Theme Park offers a fun-packed day out for all. The park's rides vary from white-knuckle to nursery and are popular with all ages.
